A guide to the spiritual cord-cutting ritual with or without external help
Today, it's all about the Spiritual Cord Cutting Ritual, which I am sure you have heard about before, especially if you experienced a healing session with me. The goal today is that you understand how this goes around, as well as useful information that will show you how these work and what to keep in mind.
By the way, did you check April's free tarot reading? Don't miss it because it always has helpful information to get the most out of this month. Furthermore, you have available the Ace of Cups guided meditation, which is quite powerful to materialize abundance in your life, as well as to validate your alignment with the Universe.
As with everything in a more modern era, the Spiritual Cord Cutting Ritual has evolved a lot since it first started. There are a lot of things that our spirit guides help us with, and one of them revolves around the cord-cutting spell, as some people call it. The goal is to also debunk some speculations and misconceptions about it. This is powerful energy work; therefore, your spirit guides will never leave you stranded, and you cannot do certain things that are believed to be possible.
Clearing negative emotional ties. What is the ritual about?
I want to get to the point with the cord-cutting ritual because there is too much overcomplication out there. However, I also want to bring it into a deeper perspective than simply the act of doing it by working with the spirit guides, as I do. I want to take it to the point where you, too, do something on your end. Spirituality is about development and knowledge, among other things, and if you take part in your cord-cutting ritual, you will have magnified effects and other benefits.
The origins come from shamanism and Hinduism, but the cord-cutting ritual is also found in ancient/early Reiki. Keep in mind that when we hold a connection with someone, we also have an energetic connection. Sometimes, you remove people from your life physically, but without being able to do the energetic part for various reasons. Here is where the cord-cutting comes in handy, because if it serves the highest purpose (for example, no karmic tie), the spirit guides will help to release the connection.
Sometimes, you do not know if you should do a cord-cutting with someone, and perhaps, this can be one of the risks. If it is not meant to cut, it won't, but sometimes, it is irrelevant to your life path, and therefore, you may cut it. If this is done prematurely, you might lose a good connection that is still nice to have. When should you perform a cord-cutting ritual? Let's see below:
- Toxic relationships that bring emotional harm. They serve no purpose anymore in your life, and you don't need to receive negativity because of other people.
- Breaks, relocation, and career changes. Focus on the now... even if the prior office was a lot better or your former lover was awesome, now your reality is a different one. The cord cutting will help you release this to make the best out of today.
- Old Beliefs. You may have released beliefs or limiting self-beliefs while you feel these latent in your consciousness. They truly are getting in your way, and you want to let go. This ritual will do wonders for you.
- Narcissistic and controlling dynamics. Whether you suffer or act on these, you must push them away from your life entirely. These always go swiftly away from your consciousness.
Otherwise, for most of the situations, you shouldn't do a cord-cutting ritual. Keep in mind that your spirit guides always direct this; you are not cutting off either the blue or red cable in a bomb! If you feel pissed at someone, do not act on it right away; things may shift down the line. If you do not feel ready to let go of the person, the cord-cutting ritual will not work for you, so it should be avoided for these intentions.
Do I need to prepare for a cord-cutting ritual?
Keep in mind something: it is always good to be ready for everything. As a healer myself, by working with different people, I can tell the difference in the healing when they are present versus perhaps more withdrawn. Sometimes, you truly need to detach yourself, and that is okay.
However, other times, taking some action on top of the healing session (including the cord-cutting ceremony), if you take into account some things, you will notice that you will heal faster, because it is not only about the energy I (or any healer) channel, but also it is about you. So, let's check out a few things you can do:
- Keep in mind your emotional stability. In most situations, you should be okay; however, if you are having a lot of difficult emotions right now, perhaps it would be best to wait on the cord-cutting ritual because you might have to deal with more emotions first before feeling better, and it can become overwhelming for you.
- Journal your emotions and memories. You can also keep track of how you are feeling after the session, as sometimes, you also need to do some releasing yourself, such as, for example, not allowing yourself to think about a specific person or situation you try to release. Set intentions, as this fuels the positive outcomes. Write down what you want to attract with the release.
- Affirmations and visualization. These trigger in your favor various principles of the universe to promote further release. If you project love and gratitude, you will skyrocket positive vibrations in your energy. Furthermore, by affirming it, you are also thinking about it, and both your conscious and unconscious minds grow assured of it.
These are some powerful steps, but ultimately, what matters the most is that you invest quality time in taking care of yourself with the intention of reaching the best outcome from your cord-cutting ritual. This is about release, so you don't have to do more than the above. I would also advise investing time in walking in nature and mild socializing if you like it, as well as giving yourself some reflection time. You will meet with a great shift, progressively, making you stronger and happier.
What else? How to perform a cord-cutting ritual?
Keep in mind something: every single living being is capable of moving energy to a certain extent, and it's the same for healing. Some people naturally perform "cord-cutting rituals" without even knowing about it. Sometimes, by setting a clear and strong intention from your heart, you already have enough power to let it go entirely. If you can channel energy, for example, attuned to Reiki, you can visualize an actual energy cord attaching you to the other person or persons, and yourself cutting it off.
I am in for "tackling it from all directions," and energy always helps a lot. Sometimes, you desire to let go of something, and you clearly know it and feel it, and it bothers you that the unconscious is not letting go. If your Akashic Records show nothing important here, the cord-cutting session will be extremely efficient.
It also helps that after the ritual, you already act as if the connection is entirely gone. Even if you have to roleplay with yourself a little (for example, this person being in the same office as you but pretending to feel unaffected). It will come as a surprise to you that this becomes easier and easier to do. You gave the last push to your "programming" to release this entirely.
Conclusion
Keep in mind that the cord-cutting ritual is also an act of self-love, because ultimately you want to feel well and liberate yourself from what no longer belongs to you. It is great that you work on your personal empowerment, because this will promote greater mental resilience. As you can see, this is not a whole ordeal, and a lot goes into intention.
Always make sure not to push it and not to believe that a cord-cutting ritual will make you forget right away a person or situation. Imagine a helium balloon is attached to you, and you cut the thread. The balloon will start to float away, but for a while, you will continue seeing the balloon. Do your best not to look up; look forward instead, and eventually the balloon will disappear.
FAQ
Q: What is a cord-cutting ritual, and how does it work?
A: A cord-cutting ritual is an energy work technique in which, with the help of spirit guides, you break energetic links with negative sources as long as it serves your highest purpose.
Q: When should you perform a cord-cutting ceremony?
A: If you cannot let go of a person or situation that otherwise serves nothing in your life anymore, a cord-cutting ritual will come in handy.
Q: Is cord-cutting meditation effective for releasing emotional ties?
A: Yes, you will find support while releasing emotional ties when you perform a cord-cutting ritual. However, for max efficiency, you should also help yourself by, for example, not dwelling within it.
Q: Can a cord-cutting ritual remove someone from your life completely?
A: Cord-cutting doesn't bend free will and will not guarantee to remove someone from your life. However, you will be like "far away" from that person and vice versa by promoting, eventually forgetting, or ignoring each other.
Q: How do you know if you have negative emotional ties to someone?
A: If you know how to read your energy, and you are connected with your emotions, you will be able to notice heaviness or hardness to let go of someone or something, promoting a feeling of "trapped." You can also seek someone if you have a hard time loving yourself. Feel free to reach out!
Q: Is it safe to perform a cord-cutting ritual on your own?
A: In my honest opinion, knowing your spirit guides can help you, and if you are attuned to channel energy healing, you shouldn't have any issues. If you don't know how to move energy, you should start learning or seek some help. You need to make sure you clear all the energy and release it; otherwise, it will not work.
Q: What is the difference between a cord-cutting ritual and a cord-cutting ceremony?
A: No one really; it is a different way to call it. Perhaps a ritual focuses more on taking care of this yourself, or, for example, I can help you. A ceremony would be more like in a group of people, for example, and perhaps add other intentions and goals.
Q: Can cord cutting help with unhealthy energetic attachments?
A: The main purpose of the cord-cutting is to sever away what no longer belongs to you.
Q: What should you do after completing a cord-cutting ritual?
A: You need to help yourself not to dwell on what you worked on. Do some grounding and mild physical exercise to promote the release of blocked energy (jogging, walking, dancing, mild swimming, etc.)
From here, you have to enjoy the freedom of release. Right away, you might still feel wounded, the same as if you had left the operating room. However, you are now not bound anymore, and you can start thinking and acting as such. Soon, you will feel this freedom growing within, making you feel better.
Next week, we will talk about sleep phases, specifically about REM sleep vs deep sleep. Amazing things happen in the REM phase, so it is quite cool! Stay tuned for next Wednesday!
