Let's meet: The Star Tarot Card—An introduction
The Star card always brings powerful messages about how you flow within yourself, within your divine feminine, and within your spirituality in general, bringing experience around serenity, self-love, and authenticity. It is also to help you see more easily the positive rather than the negative. The star talks about a renewal to the positive, and the best of all, by simply letting it happen.
This card has a strong astrological connection with Aquarius and the water element. You can tell the star talks also about the divine feminine energy and its capacity for roaming freely (symbolized by a naked woman tossing water from a jar). This card generally is a positive omen, bringing resolution to an old problem or block, or simply validating that your path is aligned in abundance.
Upright meanings
When the star card is in an upright position, we will always focus on optimism, resolution, and the capability to shift an unfulfilling and negative situation into a positive one. This is one of those cards that you could say, "the Universe is responding, and it helps!" Maybe your life experiences haven't been ideal until today, when you experience a shift to a much better situation, thanks to the energy that the star tarot card represents.

The Star tarot meaning in the upright position also tells you that you are in alignment, following the right path, or at least, you can, because you have pretty much everything you need for the journey. I like the energy of this card as a "you can do it too," because it builds up self-love and confidence, two essentials to survive in this civilization.
This card talks about being truthful with yourself and honoring your needs instead of stepping into them. You need to see who you truly are, without any masks, and therefore, you can spot what you dislike, whether to discard and let it go or to learn something from it, and ultimately, let go as well. Let's go with the different meanings:
- Love & Relationships. As a general symbolism, the star tarot card connects very much with hope, positivity, and renewal. When this energy is present, you can tell that optimism and good charisma in relationships are present, enabling further growth in passion and love. The star tarot card may also remind you that things are turning positive for you to find that relationship you have been seeking, as well as to rebuild confidence after heartbreak.
- Finances & Career. If you have ambition, as well as faith in yourself and others involved in your project, you will likely meet with the energy of the star tarot card. You can attract good opportunities and fantastic deals, yielding a strong magnetism for success. If you connect this energy with your finances, you will feel helped by the Universe to achieve your goals, especially when you focus on the importance of appreciation and gratitude.
- Spirituality and Health. If you are dealing with a health problem, the star card could represent that you are at the end of your current health challenge, yielding to a much more prosperous life. Allow anything that doesn't belong on your body to flow away. The same goes at a spiritual level; many focus on enduring it, and it is not about that, not about enduring the pain, but addressing it so it can get better or go away from the body, mind, emotions, and soul, or from more than one at a time.
The Star card is overall a wonderful card to get because it many times comes as a reward after your hard work. Like a validation of "you have shifted the Universe in your favor," and you think things will start flowing in your right direction. You need to continue doing what you have been doing; don't forget that, because that is what got the Universe to be in motion in your favor in the first place. The star tarot card upright will always give you a fantastic vibration.
Reversed Meaning
The Star Tarot Card is one that strongly abides by the Principle of Polarity because of its meanings, upright and reversed. Because when you feel that "all is lost," that you are not worthy, and that your challenges are taking over your life and happiness, you can tell you are in the star tarot card in reverse. You can feel trapped and in complete despair, without even finding the will to feel better.
It is quite difficult to go through the star tarot reversed position when it's affecting your life, but this doesn't mean you will always dwell within these emotions, as everything they will pass, but perhaps you have to take action. The star here still reminds you that if you manage to take the first step in letting go of something that you know serves you nothing, you will already witness progress.

Now, if you find yourself in the star tarot card reversed, do not believe you are trapped here forever, because you are not. Are you going through a difficult time or an internalized challenge? Yes, you are, and together, we will outgrow this. As many times, when cards come reverse, is like an alarm, attempting to jolt you awake to the situation, and start overcoming it.
The message of rebuilding faith (in yourself) and motivation to keep moving forward is another important piece of guidance from the reversed position. When you poke a little hole in a bag full of liquid, it starts running out, right? Gravity does the work for you, and the same applies to negative emotions, as well as to align you in the right path that you have to follow. Let's go deeper with the meanings:
- Love & Relationships. Usually, if you have a strong self-criticism and lack of confidence in romance, you can be in a reversed star tarot card situation, and your best move is to start understanding that you are deserving of love, too. Don't feel sour because others' sex or relationships are awesome; instead, check what you can do to at least improve yours a tiny bit.
- Finances & Career. You are facing a lot of pessimism and an unwillingness to work. The star tarot card in reverse reminds you that you are heading through an obscure path and you are doing very little about it, whether because you can't, or don't find the will. You might feel entrapped by financial despair. You can only rewire yourself with a positive mindset to shift this energy.
- Spirituality and Health. You have lost all faith in everything, and anything, including yourself. You also feel worthless in life, perhaps constantly calling yourself names, and being extremely self-destructive. In a way, you have turned into your worst enemy. Now, the best way to hit this enemy hard and regain your happiness is for you to start to do something for yourself, even if you don't want to do it. If you want to abuse yourself, force something positive in life (since you don't want to), and wait for the shift!
It is important that you don't dismay (at least, slow down on it), you are worthy of help, believe it or not. If others tell you this, you should listen to them, because this shifts you from the reversed star tarot card into the upright version, enabling you to embark on a positive path and start to align yourself closer to happiness. In the bottom of your being, you too want to be happy, so even if you don't like it, push yourself, be stubborn but not selfish, a tiny bit a day is enough until you find your pace.
You should reflect on the following questions
When I created The Conspiracy Tarot (if you want a copy, make sure to use the coupon BLOG111 at checkout), I added questions for you to reflect upon each of the cards. You can find this within the pages of the Little White Book that comes with the deck. But for today, for the Star Tarot Card, I am sharing these questions for you to reflect over. Once you do, feel free to leave a comment and share your thoughts and findings. This will help others a lot!
- What things in life are depriving you of fulfilling your fantasies?
- Are you investing some time every now and then to visualize and materialize your wishes?
- What are you doing to be free of ties and unnecessary negativity?
I've been questioning whether to leave a comment for each of these questions, but I want to leave them as they come in the Little White Book for the Conspiracy Tarot. I hope these questions help you bring something that will improve your life, even a little bit.
