Totem Animals: What are they, and why do they appear in our lives?
Hello everyone! I hope the December Forecast will help you face the current energies. As I told you last week, we will discuss totem animals and how they influence our lives. More and more people ask me about the meaning of having a totem animal and what they are for, so this week I bring you an entry about them. But to give you a speedy summary, these are part of our spirit team of spirit guides. Several factors in life influence the totem animal that connects with you, so let’s look at them.
The first thing I can tell you about totem animals is that they are part of our team of Spiritual Guides, and it depends on the person; they may or may not have a connection with them. And as I always like to remember, it doesn’t make you more special to have one or more of these spirits connected with you. There are different reasons why your soul needs to be connected to one of these beings. You will often see that these spirit animals by your side can change as you go through different phases of your life.
Do you have a connection with any Totem Animals?
I want to start by saying that, as with everything in spirituality, there are no exact difficulties that apply equally to every connection. Yes, there are some general terms, but these are good for getting an idea. Every time a soul begins connecting with a totem animal, there is a purpose behind it. It is like when we connect with a specific Spiritual Guide. There are many guides; each can help us in different ways.
For example, it is pretty standard when a person begins their spiritual path to have a connection with these beings. These help us on our spiritual path, generally in our development, especially in times of challenges or difficulties. I will give you a few examples. I am basing this on what I have found in readings over the years; I am not going to base it on the meanings you can find with a Google search.
The Wolf is perhaps one of the most common to appear in readings, and in a way, a totem animal that is very effective and necessary. The Wolf is a protector and generally protects the soul and energy of the person. For example, it is common to be connected to a wolf when working on healing. However, it will be more common for people who do spiritual expulsions to negative entities, for example, or people who deal with serious energy problems (either their own or third parties.)
The Owl is also very common and one that is perhaps very welcome to most people. The Owl brings teachings, knowledge, and wisdom. If you are a person who longs to expand knowledge (primarily spiritual) and continually grow, you are likely to have an Owl connected to your energy. The Owl will open more paths that will lead you to the opportunity of learning, and also, in a way, its energy will make learning more effective.
The Snake is another common totem animal, although this one is perhaps not as well received by some people. This animal appears when you undergo a personal, mental, emotional, or spiritual transformation. The Snake will help you energetically to leave behind old ties and beliefs that no longer belong in your life. It will be easier for you to grow on your path, leaving behind what limits you and forming part of your transformation.
And here I leave you another totem animal that is perhaps a little misunderstood. The spider may not show up much, but it has a powerful meaning when it does. It is time to start expanding your creativity, opening new paths, and bringing new things into your life. Perhaps a spider could appear in your life if you undertake something new and require a lot of strategy and preparation. It’s a great thing because, in a way, all your paths and “bridges” that you have to cross will solidify and become more stable.
And these are a few.
These are perhaps the most I have seen, but there are hundreds of types, probably one for each type of animal that exists or has existed on Earth. As you can see, each of these has a general purpose. However, the experiences you will have or help to receive depends on your soul and the soul of the animal that accompanies you. Do not forget that you can also connect with these Totem Animals through meditation, channeling, and especially when you silence your mind and listen to the silence.
In fact, they can also vary in size, even to sizes disproportionate to what we know in nature (for example, a wolf four meters tall.) This does not mean that they are better or worse, but perhaps the meaning of having a size or another is something that escapes our knowledge.
And what is a power animal?
A power animal is not the same as a totem animal. A power animal will usually help you go on shamanic journeys, such as visiting the Lower World to find something meaningful. Especially if you do shamanic work, you may find your power animal as you explore these worlds. Power animals are much like totems when it comes to receiving their help.
However, it is possible that you also have a power animal since just by being curious about it, you can create a connection. You can transform that curiosity in the future into something feasible and necessary in your life, where you will need the help of your power animal. I can give you a cable and visit the Lower World and look for it. I invite you to click here if you want more information.
A totem animal is a great companion that helps you along with your Spirit Guides.
And that’s all! As you can see, there is not much of a secret; over time, you will be able to connect with your totem animals and use all the energy they give you. Next Wednesday, we will begin to celebrate the Christmas season. We celebrate Christmas at Soul Meditations, so I’ll bring you the news next week. But all this in a week! I will tell you next week. Now time to listen to the Forecast for December 2022. I am pretty sure you are going to enjoy the read! See you next Wednesday!
