You, too, have a soul contract, but what does this mean?
 This week, I am sharing more about the soul contract that every single one, including you, does before incarnating in this lifetime. We will not stop only here but also have an understanding of how they exactly work and how these different soul contracts affect your life.

The first thing I want to share, though, is that you make these soul agreements with yourself, generally in between lifetimes right before birth, but you can also make more throughout your life. You never make karmic soul contracts (or none at all) with superior beings of light such as Spirit Guides, but you can do so with other souls with whom, for example, you shared past lifes.
From here, please disregard any information about making soul contracts with demons, angels, extraterrestrials, etc. For starters, as a common question, you cannot sell your soul or "enslave/give away" to anyone simply because you are the actual soul! Not even your Spirit Guides have "master-admin access" over your energy, as neither can they bend your free will, they only advise and support you.
What is a soul contract​?
Now and then, someone asks me what the Akashic Records Soul Contract means, and my answer, in summary, is simple: Soul Contracts or Soul Agreements are decisions that you take to embark yourself into the next lifetime before being born.
As you possibly know, the Akasha contains all the information about your soul throughout your entire existence. Each experience, connection, event, and whatever happens in your life gets recorded in your Akashic Records. Take it as if you have a massive agenda of contacts for each person you meet in life, even one with a random cashier in some random shop somewhere you traveled.
It is during the afterlife when we go through our former lifetime whilst getting ready for the following one. Here, based on our findings and soul desires to keep growing, you start creating a soul contract with yourself, holding different agreements that will yield different experiences and connections in your next lifetime.
A Soul Contract happens between you and yourself, and this is true for each single one of all your soul agreements, regardless of whether other souls are involved in said contracts or not. From here, we jump to the next subject.
Contracts with parents and children
This is one of the most common soul contracts, and I can presume it is one of the first soul contracts you make each lifetime. Do we choose our parents? Yes, we do, and there is a whole article talking about it. Precisely, there is, most of the time, an initial connection with either one or both of the parents. Ultimately, it is possible that a soul doesn't choose their new parents at all, so here, the soul contract could be simply to experience new souls.
There are many reasons why a soul wants to choose a parent, for example, because that specific parent will enable, through experience, this soul to fulfill their life purpose. Other times, this can be because they have had problems in past lives, and one of their Soul Agreements is to amend these issues together.
A lot of times, there are life lessons and "re-tries" from past lives, while others, simply because there will be a massive synergy and understanding from the start, always with a bigger purpose behind it, and likely affecting all souls involved.
Soul Contracts for relationships
Likewise, with the parents, we also agree to meet with different souls across our next lifetime. This doesn't mean you will only meet these souls, nor that you will meet all of them, perhaps not even one. However, when we agree to meet with another soul, we will likely, regardless of the situation, because, through a soul contract, we agreed with them to meet again to fulfill a reason. This could be from cleansing karma to re-living a former experience, or to empower each other.
Back in 2016, or perhaps 2017, during the baby days of this huge blog, I wrote about Karmic Connections, falling into alignment when talking about soul contracts with other souls. Maybe you have met a person that you cannot let go of, either emotionally or simply, regardless of how much you both travel, you continuously find each other again.
In the end, we are all connected, and Oneness is more real than we perceive it. However, we can structure this complicated network of entangled threads, undoing this giant "ball or chunk of X-mas lights entangled among themselves." Here, you have one cornerstone regarding the soul contract meaning.
Here, it is best not to include soul connections such as soul mate or twin flame. These are not agreements but simply facts, to say in short, soulmates built this status across several shared past lifes, and the second is simply a "soul mechanic" whom, most likely, you will not connect with in this lifetime (although it is possible, and it happens. How about your Spirit Guides?
We have talked a lot about Spirit Guides, and you can find here a huge compilation about Spirit Guides and several articles for you to learn about them. I am not sure if I would mix a soul contract and connect with Spirit Guides. It could be, but it is more like a universal alignment because, for example, we may have experiences that we didn't agree on hand (aka no soul contracts here), and his experience could lead you to have a new Spirit Guide in your Team.
However, you can, in a way, label this as soul contracts because what is true is that your Spirit Guides play an essential role in your life. They have access to your Akashic Records, as well as to your emotions, thoughts, etc. Since they assist you in your life, they have access to your cornerstone energetic points, but in a way, only the guides who work with you have this access, symbolically holding a "soul contract admin access."
In the end, it is not important because normally, you will find yourself working with the Spirit Guides you need. Normally, you don't have the desire or the need to work with someone else's Spirit Guide because you feel fulfilled with your own at a soul level. There can be exceptions, and generally, these either come from the ego or, ultimately, there could be a near connection with that specific guide at some point.
How To Break Soul Contracts
To keep this subject simple: Can you break a soul contract? In a way, yes, you can because you are making these agreements to yourself, and ultimately, you are bound to your free will and the actions you take. You are not making a mortgage where you agree to pay it, nor a job contract where you agree to invest so much of your time every day.
This means you are in control, and no one, not even your Spirit Guides or higherself, will force you to stick to any soul agreement. Some of these, though, are inevitable because you might agree to experience something, but you will not know until you have already experienced it. You could still somehow break this contract, but you need a time paradox here.
It is possible, for example, that you learn in a reading that you have a soul contract with your ex where both of you agreed before birth to make it work in this lifetime. This will yield two possible scenarios:
- You cannot let go of your ex, but they can. You feel very deeply this is not over, and you know it is not simply blind love nor needfulness but "something else." This is the soul that knows there is still some potential experience yet to go through:
- You come into each other's path all the time, even while avoiding each other.
- Even happily in other relationships and not even liking your ex, you still feel a connection, away from love, but a connection.
- In different types of dreams, your ex shows up, dominating an amendment and even a friendship agreement.
- You are on a loop of breakups and reuniting, each one being more hurtful than the prior and harder to let go.
- A reading helps here to know what is going on because there might be some unfinished business with the possibility of amending.
- Despite knowing this soul contract and finding that once was a special connection like no other, both of you don't want to see each other ever again. A potential ego-based decision, but enabling breaking this agreement.
- Memories will remain, obviously, but without a spiritual or emotional need to reconnect.
- The connection will feel over, like with any other ex you can have.
Here, ultimately, after this lifetime, you will likely want to re-agree to some broken contracts, but not necessarily all of them. You can have a soul contract with yourself to experience sickness in your body, but perhaps you have learned your lessons by seeing sickness in a loved one, and you don't need this anymore. In a way, the soul contract here is fulfilled, as you had learned what you needed to learn, and therefore, it sort of dissipates.
How can I know my soul contracts?
You need to know that you could have hundreds of thousands of soul contracts. Think about it: you have agreed to experience pretty much everything you experience in life. This is way more complex than any intellectual human planning you can think about.
Technically, you could list them all, but this would take ages, it's like reading your entire Akasha, it's impossible, there is not enough time in life. However, you can always discover your immortal soul contracts, such as life purpose or checking your connection with someone. Through an Akashic Records Reading, for example, you can ask about anything in your life and check if there is a contract and how to address it.
You can also experience this yourself through past life regressions, either through meditation (this one connects you with your Akasha to see a past life) or through hypnosis. The latter, though, still brings you into your Akasha, but instead of channeling them yourself consciously or someone else like me, you are doing it yourself, but in a trance state. You'll find a deep understanding.
Conclusion
Don't mind so much about Soul Contracts, they are simply part of your life, and what you need to do is to continue living it. Give yourself as much as you can, invest your heart and focus at 100%, and always be authentic in your actions. The flow of life will do the rest.
