Hello everybody! This week, I want to make a small entry about using The Medicine Wheel during a home or land blessing. I want you to approach this subject with the same intention as myself, with the uttermost respect and openness to what the Spirits of Earth can guide us with.

The goal of this article is not to teach the Medicine Wheel itself or its history. Besides a small introduction, the purpose is for you to implement in your self-healing work or healing practice some of the wisdom from our ancestors. You can use the energies of our home, planet Earth, to bring more positivity and better vibrations in your life.

I debated a lot about whether to write this article or not, although I got quite a few messages to at least make a small entry and talk about them. One fantastic thing is that we can mix things from different teachings to bring amazing results, especially when working with energy.

The Native American Medicine Wheel Meaning

I will only share a brief introduction and a brief history of the Native American Medicine Wheel’s Meaning. If you want to do deeper research, you can start at this Wiki Entry, and from here, you will find sources based on Native American lineage teachings. It is within Native American History to build these circles, made of stones and other natural objects, in alignment with the cardinal points.

For thousands of years, stone medicine wheels have been constructed and utilized for rituals. Because each one has so many distinctive features, archaeologists have had a difficult time pinpointing exactly what each one was used for. History says that they were used in rituals for personal and land protection, and cleansing rituals, among others.

My mentor and Shaman taught me to use the energy from Medicine Wheels to cast a circle of protection, for example, when performing a home blessing. This is the main focus that I want to project today, and where I feel that I can help you with.

The Medicine Wheel for Home and Land Blessings

I follow the teachings that my mentor and shaman taught me many years ago. She explained to me how to perform a medicine wheel to protect a house, a piece of land, or even an entire village. Here, with the help of your Spirit Guides and the spirits of Earth, you will bring forth powerful elemental energies while projecting positive intentions.

Check out below a list of benefits when setting up an energetic medicine wheel at your place:

Make an energetic perimeter around your entire place, promoting positive energies to flow better, especially when you are physically there.
Protect your entire place from toxic and negative neighborly energies. You will have an energetic bubble surrounding your entire home or land.
You will create a better flow of things thanks to the Principle of Correspondence and the energies of Earth.

You will connect stronger with your land or place, promoting a healthier root chakra, and overall physical energy.
You promote a better energetic flow in regards of the soil of the land or place, as well as it's capabilities to enable you to thrive.
If you are energy sensitive, you will feel a greater connection witht he consciousness of Earth.

These are some of the benefits of this beautiful blessing. Every time that someone asks me to do a home blessing, I always add the Medicine Wheel at the end of the blessing, so all the positive energie stays within, and it futher promotes attracting more of this same positive energy.

How can I do one around my place?

Now, you want to know how to best do this yourself, and that is fantastic. I recommend you to be attuned at least to Reiki Level I for this because if you can channel white light on top of the physical tangible work, it will gain a lot of power.

The first step purchase tobacco, ideally rolling tobacco versus cigarettes. Make sure to purchase a bundle of dry white sage. If you have any other type of smoking herb, you may use a bit of that also. Once you do, break down both together and make a mix. Now, follow the next steps:

Find the west point on the place you want to make this Medicine Wheel. Use a compass for this (a digital one is fine as long as it's properly balanced.)
1. Here, you want to make a small hole in the ground (a couple of inches is enough, it's the ritual that matters), and bury a bit of the mix.
2. While you do, focus on releasing all negative energy. Set the intention to return it to Earth so it transmutes. You should ask your Spirit Guides to do the same at an astral level. Ask the land to welcome you, to thrive while you project love and peace.
Start walking clockwise towards the top-north point of the area you are blessing, but walk the perimeter, around it, don't go through it. You want to make a circle-shaped energetic twine.
Once you reach the North part, repeat steps #1.1, #1.2
Once finished, go to the east point, clockwise, the same way as you went from West to North.
Once you reach the East part, repeat steps #1.1, #1.2.
Go from East to South in the same manner.
Once you reach the South part, repeat steps #1.1, #1.2.
Go from South to West in the same manner. You will reach the point you started.
Here, you will not bury the mix again as you did in the beginning. However, you will project gratitude to both the land and the place for it to be your home while you shine the light you have in your heart.
You can make a brief meditation here with the above intentions. Simply sit down and focus on his energetic circle, a powerful Medicine Wheel that will keep a wonderful within its entire area.

From here, you can now thank the spirits of earth, all elemental guides as well as your Spirit Guides involved.

Make a Medicine Wheel astrally

Energy doesn't see linear time or distance, this is why in Reiki Level II, you learn how to work with healing remotely. Furthermore, through Astral Projection you can also create a Medicine Wheel, and trust me, the experience is amazing!

Do you know how to Astral project? You can learn here if you don't because you are in for a treat. When you are in your Astral Body, you are at a whole new level. You are able to expand your astral body to any size you want and focus its energy. So, set the intention of creating a medicine wheel around your home in your next OBE. Once you are out, trust me, you will know what to do.

When you work on creating an energetic medicine wheel, you will see that it becomes easier. For example, when working with distance healing, check out how easy it is:

Prepare yourself as well as your set and setting as you do before sending healing. As long as it feels aligned with you, there is no right or wrong here.
Ask your Higherself and Spirit Guides to help you connect with the energy of your home/land. Help yourself by visualizing this in your mind, or simply, by "feeling at home."
1. If you do this for somebody else, use a photo, or ask to connect to their home through their Higherselves.
Once you feel you are connected, start channeling the white light in your best way, and let it flow for as long as you feel it's necessary.
Visualize a bubble surrounding the entire home.
1. If you can't visualize, think of the logical outcome when covering something with a dome.
2. If this is for an apartment, visualize you "extract the unit from the building," and surround it with this bubble.
3. Alternatively, you can focus on the feelings that your home gives you, and direct this bubble at it.
Set the intentions for all energy within to be purified with the help of your Spirit Guides.

From here, you will start feeling that the energy is ready and you can disconnect. As always, project gratitude to the Universe for this wonderful energy. Your home is now cleansed and protected promoting you and everybody in your home to be more grounded and thrive more.

Conclusion

You too can have your home protected, and keep something in mind. Lets say that you are somewhere in the middle of the woods and you can't read anyone, but you need a medicine wheel to protect the place you are at. You can't even channel healing (yet), but at least, you can visualize this energy coming and protecting your home. Your Spirit Guides will help you out, as well as the intentions you project through the Principle of Vibration and Mentalism.

The same goes around, even if you are used to creating these for others and yourself, don't forget to put your heart into each one you create. The power of emotions is enormous, and they will play a key role, doesn't matter how you make your medicine wheel.
