The true meaning of becoming a Reiki Master: Take your healing path to the next level
Since the Reiki Usui article launched, many of you have asked about what it means to be a Reiki
Master. Today, we’ll dive deeper into this topic as I share three key benefits of Reiki Master training
and the wonderful experiences it brings.
Both you and other people can benefit from reiki. If possible, I advise you to treat yourself every day since it’s a great way to feel fantastic. Reiki will travel to the areas in need. Since you are in your body, I find that simply turning on Reiki and letting it run is sufficient. Depending on how you feel guided, I also like to simply work my way from the heart chakra to the rest of the body.
What is a Reiki Master?
The Usui Reiki modality has three levels, though some Masters separate the Master and Teacher
stages. A Reiki Master is a healer who has completed all levels and can teach, though learning
never truly ends. With tools like the Master Symbol, they facilitate deeper healing.
I became a Reiki Master in 2009 after months as a Level II. Though my first Master hesitated to
attune me, my Spirit Guides led me to another who recognized my true calling. If you’re a Reiki

Advancing to the Master level means gaining powerful symbols and the ability to teach others,
creating a ripple effect of healing. Reiki heals the practitioner too, and daily self-healing with
Master tools is transformative. If you’re considering this path, it can greatly benefit your well-being!
Reiki is the energy of life, and one of the amazing things about it is that it also heals the user. The more connected and open to Reiki, the better. Think about going all the way to Reiki Master, it will be good for your health! No, but seriously, practicing daily self-healing is wonderful, and even better with the Reiki Master tools.
Benefits of Master Training
I will share some benefits of following “The Reiki way, all the way.” The benefits of receiving the Reiki Master Attunement, and start channeling new and more profound energies:
Additional healing energy and techniques
You will be able to maximize the energies you are channeling, starting with the Master Symbol. If you want to become a Reiki Master, you find this desire in your heart. Following the Reiki path always comes from the heart, so don’t be afraid of following all the way and getting to your head. Working with Reiki energies expands your heart, and reduces your ego.
As your heart keeps expanding, so will other chakras, enabling you to maximize your channeling capabilities. Take it as having a greater energetic broadband. Besides the Master Symbol and more energy, you have access to something beautiful and powerful, which is teaching.
You can start teaching and attuning others to Reiki
Another powerful benefit here is that you will be able to help other people get started with their Reiki paths. Every single human being has healing capabilities, they only need to be awakened for some people. As you help other people with Reiki Healing, some will reach you seeking your guidance to learn themselves. There is not a bigger pleasure than experiencing this, and starting to teach these seekers. You will contribute in a greater depth to heal this civilization.
Raising your vibrations and evolving in your spiritual path
If you are following a life connected to Spirituality, you are already working in your energy. When you continue your path to Reiki Master, you expand your spiritual vibrations, adding more light to your life and your soul. Your aura will also vibrate stronger, bringing colors in the frequency of purple, gold, green, and pink. People will be drawn to you because you will emanate a greater trust, and responsibility, as well as kindness and compassion.
Getting ready to be a Reiki Master healer
You only should follow the Reiki Master path if you hear the calling. You should never be pitched into developing into a Reiki Master, especially if you do not feel ready for it. I know a lot of people who are more comfortable as Level II Reiki healers and trust me, they are amazing healers too. You need to truly feel it because you will gain more responsibility as a teacher since you want to teach others properly, avoiding events like what happened with my first Reiki Teacher.
You need to keep a few things in mind, and you need to reflect on a few things. I want you to reflect and be sure about taking this step. - ● Reiki I and Reiki II: The Reiki path progresses step by step. Reiki I focuses on self-healing,
while Reiki II deepens your work with others, accessing emotions and remote healing. If
you’re called to continue, you may be ready for the Reiki Master level.
● Reiki Training and Experience: Growth in Reiki requires deep connection in Reiki I and
Reiki II. If attuned too soon, you may face challenges, like releasing and cutting energetic
cords. The release will be tougher, but you will still grow.
● Student and Teacher Decision: Both the student and teacher should assess when it’s time
for the Reiki Master level, but ultimately, the student must decide. Even if it feels early, some
experiences might be necessary, so trust your intuition and allow the student to make the
final choice.
● Choosing the Right Reiki Master: You don’t have to stay with the same Reiki Master for all
levels. Many students come to me after training with other Masters. The choice of teacher
always lies with the student, ensuring it aligns with the Universe.
- Choosing the right Reiki Master for training. You don’t have to necessary do your Reiki Master level with the same Reiki Master you did your first two levels. I have had students bring me their Level I and II certifications to become Reiki Masters. Others started with me to Reiki Master, and others remained at their Levels I and II. Did they receive Reiki Master from somebody else? Some for sure, and that is okay and in balance with the Universe. The student always chooses their teacher and not the other way around.
- ● Life Purpose Meditation: At the Reiki Master level, you’ll often do a Life Purpose
meditation. This level is a deeper commitment to the Reiki path, validating your purpose as a
healer. Trust your heart and intuition as you move forward in your healing journey

From here, the heart is what will guide you. You don’t need to rush but you neither need to halt, and only you know your optimal pace. As a teacher, I can guide you, but you will be the one making the final decision. If you comply with everything that I shared and you want to follow the Reiki Master attunement, you are possibly ready.
A few points to keep into account
1-Attuning someone to Reiki is beautiful.
2-If I attuned you to Reiki Master level, you will be part of the lineage I am in, all the way up to Mikao Usui.
3-I would be your Reiki Master, and you would put your name under mine, for your future Reiki Master students.Isn’t that wonderful?
Let’s check on a few more things to keep in mind:
Encouraging student independence.
- I find this essential, and I am that bird that quickly pushes their chicks out of the nest swiftly so they get started with flying.
- Don’t get me wrong, I love it when my students get back to me, even after several months.
- However, I like seeing my students being able to take care of themselves fast, to come up with these questions and lessons to help further.
- The best way of learning is with practice, as well as trial and error.
Continual personal growth as a Reiki Master.
- Keep something in mind, you never stop growing.
- If you stopped growing, you would wither and die spiritually.
- Life will make sure you keep learning new things, and as you work in your path as a healer, you will indeed learn a lot, constantly, and it’s awesome!
- Keep in mind that maintaining an authentic representation of Reiki energy is also important as a small code of honor. You learn the necessary discipline to treat properly those who seek healing and respect their privacy, needs, and requests.
Achieving harmony and happiness is part of the ongoing journey of Reiki Mastership. You want to bring this same energy to others. Many times you will see that people seek Reiki with the only purpose of feeling better emotionally, mentally, and spiritually without any physical problems. You need to be a source of love, light, and peace. Don’t worry, as you follow the path, and work from the heart, you will naturally be where you need to be.
