What Is the Shadow Side?

Your shadow side is the part of your psyche where you store difficult emotions and past experiences you weren’t ready to face at the time. It holds:
● Repressed memories
● Emotional wounds
● Traumas from this or previous lifetimes
● Limiting beliefs or internalized fear
This isn’t something to fear, it’s part of being human. Everyone has a shadow, and
acknowledging it is the first step toward healing.

But… exactly, what is our shadow side?

Over the years and many lives on this planet, we have had excellent, terrible, and everything-in-between experiences. All of this, as you well know, is recorded in your Akashic Records and naturally, your Spirit Guides can be aware as well. However, there are situations (usually adverse) that are very traumatic or harsh for our soul and consciousness. These are sent to our subconscious and stored there. Traumas, our deepest fears, and blockages (usually personal and professional) are some of the problems we can find in the subconscious.

The shadow side is an “escape route” for our consciousness and soul. Thanks to this, we can leave behind problems and traumas, even entire lives if they are awful. In this way, we do not “go crazy” and are more resistant to issues of depression and other traumas. Might have some connections with lower planes if you allow.

Why Should You Explore Your Shadow?

While your shadow protects you from pain, it can also quietly influence your behavior, relationships, and decision-making. Unchecked, it can lead to repeated patterns, emotional blocks, or anxiety. But when you explore it with compassion, you can:
● Heal unresolved traumas
● Break free from limiting cycles
● Understand the “why” behind certain life struggles
● Reclaim inner strength, clarity, and emotional freedom

How to Access Your Shadow Side

You don’t need to fear or avoid this work. You can safely explore your shadow through practices like:
● Guided meditation focused on emotional release
● Journaling about recurring thoughts or reactions
● Dream interpretation to reveal subconscious themes
● Intuitive readings or spiritual guidance
● Therapeutic work with trusted professionals

clients have been carrying for years.

Healing Starts with Awareness

Accessing your shadow doesn’t mean reliving pain. It means facing it with clarity, then learning how to let go. You may find a part of you that was long denied—waiting to be acknowledged,
understood, and healed. This process may even awaken cooperation with your Higher Self, helping you grow emotionally and spiritually.

 

Embrace the dark side within you.

It is the primary mechanism on our shadow side, but that does not mean it’s okay. These fears and traumas are within you, and although they seemingly do not affect you in your life, you may encounter situations where you awaken such worries. Therefore, it is imperative to eliminate them. I have found many answers to questions in psychic readings, thanks to the shadow side.

When we have a block, or it seems that we have reached a dead-end is where it is critical to focus on our shadow side since we could be reliving a situation like a previous trauma. Until you understand the situation and heal that problem, you will encounter that blockage, or even, you could revive the same traumatic situation. It happens for your own personal and spiritual growth and healing. It’s what we call, ” teaching of life.” Accessing and understanding our shadow side will help us a lot when we want to heal trauma.

It may work in conjunction with your Higherself in certain moments, I have a guided meditation for it.
